Loveland is known as the "Sweetheart City" but its thriving arts scene is what inspires passion in many residents. Numerous nationally acclaimed sculptors call Loveland home. You can see their work at area galleries and tour the foundries. The Benson Park Sculpture Garden contains impressive collection and you will find interesting artwork throughout the city. The city park system is extensive in Loveland. There are over 25 city parks, plus two mountain parks nearby. The recently completed Loveland Sports Park boasts a synthetic turf Championship Field with terraced seating, field lighting, sand volleyball courts, basketball courts, inline hockey rinks and a skate park. If you like to hit the links, the Northern Colorado region has experienced a golf boom in recent years and there are literally dozens of courses within an hour’s drive, including three city-owned facilities.
